RE: SharePoint and SSRS integration - The Report Server Cannot access
Settings in the SharePoint configuration
I'm trying to follow this guide for setting :
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb326356.aspx#wssconfigurationsteps
My SQL Server and SSRS server are at SP2.
My MOSS has the SSRS add-in.
From the SSRS side I get a red X under SharePoint integration with
message:
The Report Server Cannot access Settings in the SharePoint
configuration database. Most Likely, the Windows SharePoint Services
ojbect model is not installed or the Report Server Web service and
Windows Serive accounts do not have access to SharePoint database
From the MOSS side, I get "Unable to log on with the given username
and password." in the Grant Access Page when I select the SSRS
Server.
and this on the lower link:
An unexpected error occurred while connecting to the report server.
Verify that the report server is available and configured for
SharePoint integrated mode. --> Server was unable to process request.
---> The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.
Somewhat confused. do my SharePoint Service account and SSRS ASP.NET
and Windows Service accounts have to be the same AD user?
My ReportServer DB is on the Same DB server as my Moss DB, but what
guarantees access to the MOSS DB from SSRS and I don't recall
specifying the MOSS db anywhere on the SSRS Side? Why does SSRS need
access to my MOSS DB ? For security?
Thanks for any help or information.
